Job Title: Social Work Program Director

Wilmington College is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Social Work Program Director to lead our undergraduate social work program through the accreditation process with the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, program administration, and teaching, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and achieving accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the social work team through the CSWE accreditation process, ensuring compliance with the 2022 Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards.
  • Develop and implement a program marketing plan to support student recruitment and retention.
  • Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure a smooth application process for prospective students.
  • Participate in community governance and cooperative support/planning of social work programming.
  • Engage in scholarly activity and professional development to stay current in the field of social work.
  • Provide service to the department, the college, the community, and the profession.
Requirements:
  • Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited college or university.
  • Doctorate degree in Social Work preferred.
  • Licensed Social Worker, preferably in the State of Ohio, or ability to transfer/receive an Ohio LSW/LISW license.
  • At least two years of post-MSW experience in the field and good standing with the Licensing Board.
  • Experience with the 2022 CSWE EPAS accreditation standards and accreditation processes.
  • Three-to-five years of teaching experience, preferably at a CSWE-accredited program, with additional program administration experience.
  • Strong record of teaching effectiveness with a diverse student population and commitment to active learner-centered teaching.
  • Experience with program review and program assessment, including planning and tracking outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues across disciplines and degree levels.
  • Evidence of commitment toward diversity, equity, social justice, and inclusion.
