Job Summary

The Stanly Community College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach in the BLET program. The successful candidate will provide quality instruction in the subject matter assigned by the BLET School Director in accordance with programmatic procedures by the NC Criminal Justice Training and Standards Division.

Responsibilities
  • Teach classes as assigned in a multi-campus environment
  • Teach credit or non-credit courses in the teaching discipline as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information
  • Exercise stewardship of college facilities, materials, and resources
  • Comply with responsibilities as cited in the Stanly Community College Catalog, Faculty Handbook, Handbook for Distance Education, Policy Manual, and Procedures Manual

Requirements
  • Must be a Certified General Instructor by the NC Criminal Justice Training and Standards Division or Specialized Instructor by the NC Criminal Justice Training and Standards
  • Preferred sworn law enforcement officer or retired law enforcement officer
