Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice and high-acuity care, is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Manager to join our team. As a Clinical Manager at Amedisys, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and clinical performance of our nurses and aides.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Recommend employment decisions for staff to the director of operations, including hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or change of status.
  • Oversee overall quality of patient care and clinical performance of nurses and aides.
  • Organize clinical operations for the care center.
  • Review requests for services and determine patient eligibility/suitability for home care services.
  • Work with intake to coordinate patient referrals and admissions.
  • Oversee scheduling.
  • Verify payor requirements and ensure precertification compliance.
  • Review documentation of other staff members and resolve missing, incomplete, or untimely documentation issues.
  • Assist clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term patient goals, setting priorities, and developing the Plan of Care (POC).
  • Evaluate patient needs regularly and make necessary revisions to the plan of care in collaboration with clinicians.
  • May provide direct patient care on an infrequent basis in emergency situations.
  • Participate in the on-call process.
  • Train staff to ensure quality care, compliance, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Investigate and resolve patient/family/physician concerns.

**Requirements:**

  • One year of clinical RN experience in home health or hospice.
  • One year of RN management experience.
  • Current RN license specific to the assigned state(s).
  • Current CPR certification.
