Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing interventions and medication administration, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute medical regimens as prescribed by licensed physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, podiatrists, and dentists.
  • Assess patients brought to the satellite unit, admit to RCTP if needed, and document RCTP admission form.
  • Document RCTP nursing progress notes.
  • Diagnose and treat a patient's health problems.
  • Administer medication.
  • Manage and deliver restorative or palliative care to the ill, disabled, and dying.
  • Teach and counsel patients about maintenance of health and prevention of illness or complications.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse in New York State.
  • Minimum of one (1) or more years' experience.
  • Highly motivated, independent thinker, and self-starter.
  • Enthusiastic team player.
