Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team at the UK HealthCare EmPATH Psychiatric Unit. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide compassionate and evidence-based care to patients experiencing mental health crises.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assess and develop comprehensive nursing plans to address patient needs
  • Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration and wound management
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Train and delegate duties to Nursing Care Technicians as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with university policies and regulations

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and at least one year of RN experience
  • Knowledge of Maslow's eight Basic Human Needs and Gordon's Functional Health Patterns Framework
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
