Job Overview

Our client in Augusta, Maine is seeking a highly skilled Oral Health Specialist to join their dynamic practice.

Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $45-$50 based on experience. The full-time schedule will be from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Job Responsibilities

The Oral Health Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care by motivating, educating, and treating patients with expertise. Key duties include:

  • Removing hard and soft deposits from teeth
  • Examining oral areas, head, and neck for signs of disease
  • Educating patients on oral hygiene
  • Providing preventative dental care
  • Taking radiographs and/or applying fluoride or sealants

The specialist will also facilitate the dentist's diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • An Associate's Degree from an ADA-accredited dental hygienist school
  • Current State Licensure
  • CPR Certification
  • Certification in anesthesia and/or sedation (if applicable)
  • Average computer skills and comfort with Dental Software and MS Suite
