Job Overview

Genesis Healthcare Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Wound Care Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing effective wound care programs that drive exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Wound Care Initiatives: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement evidence-based wound care protocols that improve patient satisfaction and reduce healthcare costs.
  • Develop Clinical Expertise: Stay up-to-date on the latest wound care research, technologies, and best practices to provide expert guidance to nursing center staff.
  • Coach and Mentor: Support and develop the skills of Skin Health Team Leads, promoting a culture of excellence in wound care management.
Requirements:
  • Clinical Experience: Proven experience in a skilled nursing setting, with a strong focus on wound care and skin health.
  • National Accreditation: Hold current national accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC) or commit to obtaining within 1 year of hire.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate staff.
