Overview

Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to fill a travel position in Indio, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for utilizing computed tomography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $83,000 - $120,000 per year, based on 36 hours of work per week and 12 hour shifts. Our company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid sick leave, travel reimbursement, and liability insurance from day one.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, and explaining procedures to patients. You will also need to correctly interpret doctors' written instructions, position patients for scanning, and use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images.

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be expected to evaluate CT scans for technical quality, follow safety procedures when working with radiation, and maintain accurate patient records. You should have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have at least one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech). You should hold ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography and state-specific licensing when required. You should also be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop easily.
