Job Summary:

This Medical Assistant position is part of a multi-specialty team in the Northern Colorado region, providing support to clinicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical assisting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures, including taking vital signs, documenting patient information, and performing phlebotomies.
  • Coordinate and manage patient care, including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling of patients for clinic, hospital, and other ancillary medical treatments and tests.
  • Provide clerical support, including maintaining accurate and complete medical records, and communicating test results to patients.
  • Maintain a clean and functional environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment, exam rooms, and storage areas.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication mechanisms with all external and internal customers, exemplifying service orientation and the team concept in all contacts.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
  • Active Medical Assistant Certification, such as RMA, CMA, or CCMA.
  • BLS certification.
