Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. This is an excellent opportunity for newly graduated APRNs or PAs to gain experience in an in-demand specialty and develop their skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting, working independently and collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff.
- Coordinate care for patients after discharge from the hospital, including GI procedures such as per oral endoscopic myotomy.
- Assist with screening patient conditions and needs, and educate patients on health maintenance, nutritional intake, and disease prevention.
- Set nutritional treatment plans and prescribe appropriate actions to meet the plans within established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly, in line with GI provider recommendations.
