Job Description

As a Healthcare Specialist in our Electrophysiology Laboratory, you will participate in the collection of data to support unit-based quality initiatives, research, and evidence-based activities. You will utilize system-wide resources to support decision-making and action, recognizing patterns and groupings of problems in a specific patient population that require investigation and initiating actions to address.

You will communicate current evidence-based information with peers, establish a caring and therapeutic relationship with patients and families through effective communication, and collaborate consistently and effectively with other disciplines and services to meet the needs of patients and families.

You will prioritize care for complex patients based on knowledge acquired from previous clinical experiences, recognize changes in patient status, and consistently respond effectively. You will also demonstrate accountability for implementing policies related to safe and effective administration of medications and assess patient safety needs consistently, implementing appropriate strategies to minimize risk.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the collection of data to support unit-based quality initiatives, research, and evidence-based activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, maintain current BLS certification, and earned a nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher. You should possess analytical ability, communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with others in difficult situations.
