Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. As a Progressive Care PCU Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of intermediate-level patients, including those who have undergone CABG/Cath Lab procedures, respiratory issues, and complicated GI conditions.
About the UnitOur 16-bed Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit is a dynamic and supportive environment where you will have the chance to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals. We pride ourselves on our strong sense of teamwork, education, empowerment, and fun, and we are committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to intermediate-level patients
- Collaborate with medical providers to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' conditions and respond to changes in their status
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program
- Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
