Public Health Educator

Salary$24 - $26 per hour.
Job Responsibilities- Provide health education to patients, clients, and community members as directed by the Program Manager.
- Aid in the development of a health education center at AltaMed sites.
- Participate in staff meetings to provide health education technical assistance and guidance organization-wide as requested.
- Bachelor's Degree in Science in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health Education or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience or internship in the healthcare field or community outreach.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese depending on location (preferred).
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to speak in front of groups during presentations.
- Self-motivated and creative.
- Computer literate (absolutely necessary).
The employee must successfully perform the Essential Job Functions of the job. Upper body strength sufficient to work with reports and files; strength to help set up training room and training aids. Vision and manual dexterity sufficient to drive.
