We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee residential construction and renovation projects for a private family in Boston, MA.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience managing high-end residential projects and possess excellent communication skills. A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Project Management is strongly preferred.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Serving as an Owner's Representative to ensure the principals' visions and plans are central.
  • Managing budgets, timelines, contractors, and tasks to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Documenting project progress and details for all capital improvements.

You will work closely with the principals and their teams to ensure seamless project execution. Frequent travel to project sites is required to monitor progress and maintain the highest levels of safety and security.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Selecting design contractors, architects, interior decorators, consultants, etc., and ensuring their services meet the principals' expectations.
  • Creating and managing detailed budgets, reconciling invoices against quotes and contracts.
  • Maintaining a log of decisions and change orders for each project, reviewing them with the principals.
  • Engaging with contractors and vendors to secure the best quality work and competitive pricing.
  • Developing and managing project schedules, holding update meetings with vendors and contractors.
  • Providing regular project updates to the Director of Project Management.
  • Leveraging your expertise to lead company safety initiatives and coordinate with safety consultants.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work at heights and lift heavy objects when necessary.
  • OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain.
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of $130,000 - $140,000, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including an annual discretionary bonus, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with match, PTO, paid holidays, and more.
