About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled **Technical Operations Specialist** to join our team at GalaxEons. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Server Automation: Utilize CA Server Automation, including CA ITCM, to automate and streamline our server management processes.
  • Windows Systems Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows systems in both non-production and production environments.
  • On-Call Support: Provide 24x7 on-call support for our applications, participating in the resolution of escalated incidents.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Create and automate monitoring scripts to detect and alert on potential issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Recommend and implement performance and infrastructure capacity improvements, as well as enhancements to existing macros and utilities.
  • Incident Resolution: Diagnose and resolve customer-impacting issues, serving as a point of escalation for critical incidents.
  • Project Participation: Participate in assigned projects, representing the support organization and communicating status, issues, and delivery risks.
  • Application Support: Support applications that support our Managed Services ATM fleet and Cash and Logistics.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional departments to identify project issues, monitor action items, and follow up on resolutions.
  • Patch Deployment: Participate in patch deployment scheduling and grouping, validating system operation post-deployment and working with release management as needed.
  • Monitoring and Risk Assessment: Ensure monitoring alerts and system events are risk-assessed, prioritized, and addressed aggressively.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain and create technical support documentation, and work with resources to assume the same.
  • Team Collaboration: Operate effectively in a team environment, communicating and working with team members globally.
Requirements
  • IT Experience: 5+ years of IT experience in a technical production support role, with a background in Windows Systems Administration and/or Windows development.
  • CA Server Automation: Experience with CA Server Automation, including CA ITCM.
  • Scripting and SQL: Hands-on knowledge of writing SQL for Oracle or SQL Server, and solid experience scripting in PowerShell.
  • Microsoft Technologies: Experience with Microsoft Desktop Services, Virtual Services, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Agile and DevOps: Experienced in Agile and DevOps environments and cultures.
  • ITIL Best Practices: Knowledge of ITIL production support best practices.
  • Additional Skills: ATM knowledge, knowledge of Splunk and ExtraHop, and basic knowledge of Linux and Azure.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent.
