As a physician in the internal medicine group with the U.S. Army, you will have the opportunity to provide top-notch care to adults with medical illnesses. Our team is comprised of highly skilled professionals who are at the forefront of their fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and diagnose adult patients with medical illnesses
  • Treat or recommend courses of management for adults with medical illness
  • Conduct and supervise direct patient care
  • Plan and execute disease prevention and health promotion programs

Unique Duty Positions:

  • Chief, Department of Medicine
  • Chief, Department of Clinical Investigation
  • Medical Consultant
  • Medical School Faculty Appointment

Requirements:

  • Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
  • Foreign graduates may apply with permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
  • Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
  • Eligibility for board certification
  • Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship
  • Completion of a training program in an internal medicine specialty
  • Between 21 and 42 years of age (may request a waiver)
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident

Estimated Salary: $208,000 - $437,000 per year, based on location and experience.
