Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Hand Therapist to join our team at CHI St. Joseph Health. As a key member of our orthopedic rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality therapy services to patients with complex upper extremity conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with tendon injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, crush injuries, repetitive motion disorders, lacerations, arthritis, joint replacement, and digit reattachments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes.
  • Work closely with hand surgeons and orthopedic rehabilitation team to support pre- and post-surgical protocols for hand rehabilitation services.
  • Provide post-operative management of upper extremities, fabrication of custom orthoses, joint mobilization, instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques, manual therapy, taping techniques, wound and scar management, edema management, work simulation, range of motion, strengthening, and arthritis management.
  • Maintain standards of professional and ethical practice, adhering to guidelines of the State of Texas Board of Examiners for Physical/Occupational Therapy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist.
  • Certified by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
