Painting Specialist

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking a skilled Painting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our property maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all surfaces are painted and finished to the highest standards.
The ideal candidate will have excellent painting and finishing skills, with experience in working at heights and using various painting tools and equipment.
Responsibilities- Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare new surfaces for finish coats by applying primers or sealers.
- Remove Old Finishes: Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
- Clean-up and Storage: Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.
- Follow Company Policies: Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications.
- Uniform and Personal Appearance: Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Customer Service: Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Communication: Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Teamwork: Support team to reach common goals.
- Quality Expectations: Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
We offer a competitive salary of $22.70 per hour, plus benefits and opportunities for advancement. The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $47,000.
