Job Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a strategic partner to the CFO, supporting the financial, administrative, and operational management of our $43 million nonprofit human services organization. This role requires a hands-on, tech-savvy leader with strong project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
Prepare and analyze financial reports to guide decision-making and support the CFO in planning and forecasting. Work closely with the CFO and Controller to develop the budget and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational goals. Perform financial analyses to support grant requests, projects, expansion possibilities, and other initiatives. Utilize technology to automate and streamline budgeting and FP&A processes, improving accuracy and efficiency.

Administrative Leadership:

Manage a range of administrative functions that support our programs across the agency such as vehicles, real estate management and contract administration.


Facilities Team Member:
Establish a long-term capital and maintenance plan. Coordinate capital projects. Maintain a strong network of contractors and vendors. Ensure all projects get competitive quotes per company policies. Coordinate with program staff as appropriate.

Project Management & Technology Optimization:
Lead cross-functional projects to improve financial, administrative, and operational processes. Facilitate the organization's efforts to make better use of technology, focusing on Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, collaborating with consultants as needed. Work closely with the IT department to ensure systems are effectively integrated and optimized for operational efficiency. Identify and implement technology-driven solutions that enhance organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). 7+ years of experience in finance and administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, and experience managing direct reports. Strong project management skills, with a proven track record. Knowledge of nonprofit and/or human services financial management. Proficiency with technology and systems, particularly Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Teams/SharePoint, and ERP systems (experience with Acumatica a plus). Proven success in driving technology adoption. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
