Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Diamond Care Center & Grandview Assisted Living. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications as prescribed by the resident's physician, ensuring accurate and safe distribution.
- Participate in resident care planning and shift records, facilitating effective communication among team members.
- Provide treatments as necessary, adhering to physician orders and maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct timely and accurate documentation in resident charts, including nursing assessments and medication administration.
- Assist with feeding residents and daily cares as needed, promoting a safe and comfortable environment.
- Maintain a physical, social, and psychological environment that supports the best interests of our residents.
- Supervise and assign duties to nursing staff, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
- Observe, record, and report resident symptoms, reactions, and changes, notifying relevant personnel as required.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
- Answer questions from residents, families, and other department staff, providing clear and concise information.
- Adhere to established standards of practice, scope of practice, federal and state regulations, and facility policies and procedures.
- Take physician orders verbally or over the phone, maintaining accurate records and providing timely updates.
- Maintain a safe working environment, complying with infection control and QAPI Program protocols.
Confidentiality is essential in this role, and we expect all staff to maintain resident confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
- Must be in good mental and physical condition, with the ability to lift and move residents and equipment as needed.
- Be prepared to work on call as necessary, ensuring care to all residents.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, pull, and walk intermittently during the workday.
- Subject to burns, falls, bruises, scratches, exposure to infections, and odors.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly, providing emergency care and instructions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse with a current registration from the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Leadership ability and a willingness to cooperate with all personnel, residents, families, and visitors.
- Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm for caring for the elderly are essential qualities for this role.
- Ability to handle residents with varying maturity levels with respect and dignity.
- Organization, prioritizing, technical, and assessment skills, with the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
