Salary RangeThe estimated annual salary for this position is between $87,200 - $130,800 based on national averages for similar roles in the United States. However, salaries can vary depending on location, experience, and other factors.
Job DescriptionElectronics Engineer - Satellite Systems Development
This exciting opportunity is part of our Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD), which provides prime satellite and payload capabilities and directed energy and electronics solutions for national security, military, and civil customers.
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electronic systems for our satellite programs, ensuring compliance with relevant specifications and regulations.
- Develop and implement electronic system designs, including circuit board layout and electrical engineering principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic systems into larger satellite platforms.
- Analyze and troubleshoot electronic system performance issues, making recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with our EMI/C lab team to ensure compliance with electromagnetic interference and compatibility standards.
This role requires a strong foundation in electronics engineering principles, experience with electronic design automation tools, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in electronic system design and development.
- Strong understanding of electronic design principles, including circuit analysis and digital logic.
- Experience with electronic design automation tools, such as CAD software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
