Job Summary

We are looking for a talented attorney with a strong background in flood insurance litigation to handle cases where the firm represents property owners in flood insurance and other first-party insurance disputes. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing abilities, experience in drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, and a proven track record of success in federal court litigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and arguing motions to support our clients' claims
  • Drafting pleadings and discovery documents to gather evidence and build a strong case
  • Taking and defending depositions to gather information and protect our clients' interests
  • Attending mediations to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes
  • Conducting trials to present our clients' cases to a judge or jury
  • Participating in firm-sponsored marketing events to promote our services and attract new clients
Requirements
  • Active member of the Florida Bar
  • At least two (2) years of flood insurance litigation experience
  • Experience in drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery motions
  • Excellent research and writing abilities
  • Experience with Westlaw and Microsoft Office products
  • Deposition and mediation experience
  • Highly organized, self-motivated individual capable of operating under minimal supervision
