As a Business Development Executive at Commerce Pundit, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and expanding our portfolio of services. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to generate leads, pitch our solutions, and close deals that contribute to the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify and target new business opportunities by reaching out to potential clients through various channels.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and propose tailored eCommerce and digital marketing solutions.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, showcasing our services and their value.
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify new markets, customer needs, and trends in the eCommerce space.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets and increasing revenue.
- Proposal Writing: Develop proposals and negotiate terms with clients to close deals.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and report on business development progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the eCommerce, IT, or digital marketing industry.
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients effectively.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and close deals.
- Ability to conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and operations.
- New Business Development, Lead Generation, and Business Communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Schedule Expectations
- Willing to travel domestically for client visits, sales conferences, and trade shows; approximately 10% to 25%.
- Flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands
This is a full-time, salary and incentive based, exempt position that predominantly operates from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
