We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Account Manager to join our team at Alliant Insurance Services. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for servicing and soliciting activities for assigned accounts, including managing a book of business and directing the work of a service team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business leads from Producers or identify and develop cross-sell opportunities;
  • Manage renewal business and solicit additional lines of coverage;
  • Service accounts and provide claims assistance as needed;
  • Complete applications, obtain quotes, negotiate premiums and commissions, prepare proposals and presentations;
  • Bind coverage, prepare binders and delegate certificates;
  • Review coverage, identify deficiencies and determine appropriate level of coverage;
  • Meet with clients as needed or directed by producer;
  • Review accounting history, respond to accounting inquiries, correct discrepancies and contact client on receivable collections;
  • Serve as technical expert, assisting department members to resolve complex issues;
  • Collect fees, reconcile and resolve any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date;
  • Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enter and maintain complete and accurate information).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Eight (8) or more years related work experience;
  • Valid insurance license;
  • Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good problem solving and time management skills;
  • Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork;
  • Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
