About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our project design teams and deliver exceptional results. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the overall project design and production process, ensuring compliance with company processes and procedures within the stipulated project budget and schedule.

Your primary focus will be on leading inter-disciplinary quality, coordination, and space management reviews via weekly reviews with project teams to ensure the project is following the basis of design. You will also drive adherence to a strict change management process in accordance with project budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall project design and production process to ensure compliance with Company processes and procedures within the stipulated project budget and schedule (including planning, monitoring and reporting)
  • Runs inter-disciplinary quality, coordination and space management reviews via weekly reviews with project teams to ensure the project is following the basis of design.
  • Drives adherence to a strict change management process in accordance with project budget and schedule.
  • Executes and enforces the Project Execution Plan (PEP) including updating the PEP and associated material as needed when project conditions change.
  • Forecasts adequate design and production resources are assigned to meet the project's overall cost, quality and schedule commitments as well as ensuring the forecast is current in Manpower Management System (MMS)
  • Manages and acts as the single point of contact for all design related issues internally and externally, representing the overall project in communications with the client, having final technical accountability for overall project design and production (includes managing consultants not managed under other respective Disciplines)
  • Directs the Project VDC Coordination, ensuring adequate hardware and software availability for project team including managing record drawings documentation, operation and maintenance manuals and hand over documentation.
  • Takes a new perspective on existing solutions, uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes.
  • Leads the work of small project teams or have accountability for ongoing processes or objectives.
  • Acts as a resource of expertise for colleagues and may formally train lower-level professionals and officers.
  • Budget oversight for assigned scope of work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required w/10 years of relevant experience or 14 years of relevant experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  • Professional Engineering or Architect License preferred
