About the Role:
The Pharmacy Technician at Providence Seaside Hospital plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Filling and dispensing unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other ancillary departments.
- Triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
- Filling/dispensing oral and IV medications.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License.
- Minimum of one year of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification, or two years of hospital pharmacy experience if not PTCB certified.
