Overview
USAA is a financial services company that provides insurance and banking services to the U.S. military community. As a Business Insurance Account Manager, you will work in an inbound sales environment advising business owners on insurance and risk management.

Salary
The salary for this position is $43,680 - $74,250 per year, based on market data and individual experience.

Job Description
This role involves working with commercial insurance products, using knowledge of insurance marketplace, carrier appetite, and leverage underwriter relationships and knowledge of carrier contracts to place coverage for business owners. You will also use Agency Management Systems/Customer Relations Management (CRM) & multiple carrier Platforms to select product and carrier offerings, as well as research industry trends and evolving regulatory environment to improve understanding of important technical/financial issues.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
  1. Use a consultative approach to resolve customer needs, establish trust, and provide solutions based on current products and service offerings.
  2. Build and maintain relationships between members and nonmembers and insurance carriers, exercising technical knowledge and communicating solutions.
  3. Classify member's and/or non-members business and provide accurate risk management and risk mitigation solutions.
  4. Facilitate account reviews, by using the carrier renewal cycle, and understanding the members' and nonmembers' risk profile to provide consultative advice and appropriately address and mitigate the risk.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  1. A High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  2. 1 year of insurance sales and service experience and/or experience working in a commercial insurance, high value, or broker agency setting.
  3. A valid Property and Casualty insurance license for home state and/or ability to obtain home state and multistate license within 90 days.
