Employment Opportunity:

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Professional to join our team of healthcare professionals on our Behavioral Health Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing patient-centered care, engaging patients in recovery-oriented activities, and communicating patient needs to the clinical team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting patient observations and performing patient care activities.
  • Monitoring patient behavior and responding to emergency call lights.
  • Documenting vital signs, ADLs, and other patient information.
  • Providing group and individual interventions to support patient recovery and rehabilitation.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent with related experience required. Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
  • Certification: AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • Experience: Possesses a broad practical understanding of life experiences and the ability to relate to emotionally ill individuals.
  • Prior experience in psychiatric settings a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
