Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Compressor Technician to join our team at Atlas Copco Compressors LLC - North America Customer Center. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and maintenance to our customers' air compressor systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
  • Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
  • Develop a strong understanding of VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and the Service Manager regarding all services performed and present options for repairs, upgrades, or other customer needs.
  • Complete all service-related documentation, including service reports, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return documents.
  • Participate in training at our Air Academy and work with Senior Service Technicians.
  • Practice and promote proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer needs while meeting customer expectations.
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians as scheduled by the Service Manager.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of technical experience in the mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks within assigned deadlines.
  • Customer-focused and take ownership of meeting the customer's needs.
  • Proficient in using computers to complete work orders, ordering parts, and training.
  • Ability to supply all basic required tools.
  • Participate in occasional travel to Rock Hill, SC for paid training.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments.
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, certifications a plus (EPA Certified).
  • Valid driver's license and fluency in English.
