Assembly and Installation Specialist

Key Responsibilities- Disassemble, evaluate, and prepare inspection reports on incoming Customer Hot Runners
- Assemble, fit, and install prefabricated arts and sub-assemblies into unique custom-made-to-order machine tool systems
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Cross-train in other areas within the business as required, transferring and sharing knowledge with other team members
- Monitor equipment functioning and report any problems or substandard conditions to the team leader
- Ensure all documentation is maintained according to standard operating procedures
- Perform cleaning of parts according to established procedures
- Conduct product and performance testing, documenting results
- Perform installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacement, refitting, and adjusting products as required
- Assist in troubleshooting fit, form, and function issues and provide field support as needed to customers
- High school diploma or high school equivalency required
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Proficient in the use of basic hand tools, crane, and forklift experience
- Ability to use, replace, and maintain basic tooling
- Basic computer knowledge required
- Technically capable of performing hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or electrical assemblies
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and/or engineering drawings as required
- Strong problem-solving and customer relations skills
- Experience using measuring and inspection equipment and tools
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, with minimal travel required
- College diploma or apprenticeship certificate in related studies preferred
- Approximately 1- 3 years of relevant work experience preferred
