About the Role

The Operations Manager Trainee is a key position within PDS Health, responsible for gaining a comprehensive understanding of the skills and company knowledge required to independently manage a financially viable dental office. This role is designed to equip the trainee with the necessary expertise to successfully run a dental office, with a focus on operational excellence, patient satisfaction, and team development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model Company Culture: Embody and promote PDS Health's values, standards, and best operational practices, creating an environment that fosters a positive and productive work culture.
  • Team Management: Assess, hire, and retain top talent, providing comprehensive training, supervision, counseling, and coaching to ensure team members are equipped to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve staff and patient issues in a timely and effective manner, developing creative solutions that meet the needs of all parties involved.
  • Operational Execution: Execute the PDS Health Operational Model with consistency, ensuring that office imperatives are met and goals are achieved.
  • Financial Management: Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth, managing expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget, and demonstrating a deep understanding of cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Leadership and Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, providing coaching and mentoring to team members to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication and Trust: Maintain open and transparent communication with direct supervisors, building trust-based relationships and addressing issues and concerns in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state, federal, and other regulatory bodies, and provide regular reports to the Regional Manager detailing accomplishments, areas for improvement, and effectiveness of systems.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Five or more years of related work experience in operational management, with a proven track record of success in team management, leadership, and problem-solving.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures, and to communicate effectively with patients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong sense of personal responsibility, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
