Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality images using radioisotopes to assist in diagnosis or treatment of disease. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Consistently produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric
  • Follow established protocols for imaging and isotopes dosage; adjusts when appropriate for age or disease
  • Operate all Nuclear Medicine cameras, computers, and related equipment efficiently and effectively
  • Complete quality scans in a timely manner, effectively organizing and prioritizing workflow
  • Perform radioactive therapy procedures according to Nuclear Medicine Policies and Procedures and the Radioactive Material License
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an educational program in radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or a military training program of equivalent standards
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (CNMT) OR Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, post-primary certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT (NM))
