Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Multilingual Youth Support Specialist to join our team at Friends of Youth. As a key member of our Foster Care program, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and success of youth in care.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with diverse populations and making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. You will be responsible for providing support services to youth in foster care, including life skills education, case management, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster Parent and Child Support: Provide support services to foster parents and children, including life skills education, transportation, and crisis intervention.
  • Case Management: Assist Case Managers with various case management responsibilities, such as locating alternative placements, meeting with school officials, and finding community resources.
  • Administration: Maintain accurate records and files, participate in individual and group supervision, and contribute to the development of program operations and direction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong commitment to the values of equity and inclusion, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred, along with experience working with adolescent youth.
