Custodian for Campus Cleanliness

About the Role:

The Campus Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentability of our video campuses. This position ensures that our facilities are ready for services and events, providing a welcoming environment for our congregation.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Facility Readiness: Cleaning the building for Sunday services and other events, completing readiness templates, and conducting safety reviews.
  
• General Cleaning: Spot-cleaning floors, cleaning and sanitizing bathroom surfaces, collecting and removing trash, and performing large-scale cleaning of floors.
  
• Supplies and Maintenance: Ordering cleaning supplies and paper products, ensuring janitorial equipment is properly maintained, and serving as a contact for emergencies related to building systems.
  
• Facility Coordination: Reporting damages or needs to the Facilities & Logistics Director and serving as a contact for emergencies related to building systems.
  
• Volunteer Teams: Recruiting, retaining, and rewarding volunteer teams to help with Sunday support and cleaning.
  

Requirements:

• 
  
• 1-2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or similar role.
  
• Experience with commercial cleaning equipment and tools.
  
• Safe handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals and other hazardous substances.
  
• Availability to work special events a few times a year.
  
• Lifting up to 40lbs.
  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, work well with staff and volunteers, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
