Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Position

Job Summary:

The Kauai County, HI is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting medical-legal sexual assault forensic examinations, collecting forensic evidence, and providing victim support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medical-legal sexual assault forensic examinations
  • Collect and preserve forensic evidence
  • Provide victim support services, including prophylaxis against pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections
  • Refer victims to appropriate medical and psychological follow-up services
  • Testify in court as needed

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, applicants must be a Physician, Physician's Assistant, Advanced Practice Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in the State of Hawaii.
