About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Associate to join our team at TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Summary

This is a 40-hour per week position, working three 12-hour shifts and one 6-hour shift, with every other weekend required. As a Patient Care Associate, you will work closely with our healthcare providers to deliver compassionate and knowledgeable treatment to patients. Your primary responsibility will be to provide patient care under the direct supervision of the providers, ensuring that all tasks and procedures are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care under the direct supervision of healthcare providers, including preparing patients for exams, recording medical history, and performing vital sign checks.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patients, including explaining exam procedures and maintaining clean and organized examination rooms.
  • Undertake front office duties, such as assisting patients with paperwork, verifying patient demographics and insurance benefits, and performing billing and bookkeeping functions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans, outline instructions to patients, and update medical records in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and principles of medical ethics.
  • Clean wounds, draw labs, electrocardiograms, and apply dressings and splints as directed by healthcare providers.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, empathy, and customer service.
  • Exhibit ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking when necessary.
  • Follow established office routines, policies, and procedures.
  • Possess working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Hold current BLS certification and PCT certification.
  • Experience with EPIC software is strongly preferred.
Work Environment and Benefits

This position operates in a professional medical environment, with frequent use of technology platforms and computer systems throughout the shift. Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is $53,000 - $58,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Overtime hours may be available based on patient volume and clinic needs. Travel within the region is required, and occasional travel outside the region may be necessary during training or peak periods.
