We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at Advanced Technology & Laser Dentistry in Fort Myers, Florida.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 1+ year of chairside dental assisting experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment, providing exceptional patient care and support to our dentists.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health histories to provide quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using advanced technology.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during various procedures.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC recommendations.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, and place orders as needed.
  • Partner with providers and teams to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification, if required under the state dental practice act.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
