Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Case Manager to join our team at the Vermont Judiciary. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting litigants in understanding the judicial process and providing direction in the completion of court documents. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist litigants in understanding the judicial process and provide direction in the completion of court documents
  • Identify issues to be resolved and facilitate the discussion and resolution of issues presented
  • Maintain an understanding and working knowledge of various statutes, administrative policies, rules, and procedures related to family court operations
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the legal profession and social service agencies in the community
  • Perform related duties as necessary

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two years or more of experience in a judicial or legal setting above entry level
  • Graduate work in counseling or a related field may be substituted for experience on a semester for six months basis
  • Additional years of related judiciary experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a semester for six months basis
