Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembler/Tester to join our team at GE Aviation. As an Assembler/Tester, you will play a critical role in assembling high-quality small electronics for aircraft cockpits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts according to process sheet/print instructions.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and magnetic testing as required.
  • Perform in-process hi-pot testing and basic setup of fixtures.
  • Perform vapor blasting as required and assist with proto-type or first-time builds.
  • Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets.
  • Review expiration dates of materials to ensure all are current.
  • Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Education or GED equivalency.
  • 1 year manufacturing experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
  • Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Ability and willingness to operate high-temperature ovens and furnaces.
  • Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain Solder, Braze, and Electro-Static discharge certification as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years manufacturing experience.
  • Assembly, solder experience, and/or electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in a self-directed teaming environment.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
  • Ability to continuously sit; ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.
