Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support to our client site in Boise, ID. The successful candidate will work under the oversight of the Onsite Registered Nurse, Regional Account Manager, and Consulting Medical Director to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, management, and vendor partners
Maintain confidentiality by following HIPAA requirements
Adhere to Site Safety guidelines, policies, and procedures for self, visitors, and employees
Comply with governmental regulations and WorkCare policies regarding health and safety
Assist with patient intake forms and information
Conduct occupational medical surveillance testing, including audiometric testing, vision testing, and respirator evaluations
Conduct breath alcohol screening and urine drug screening
Administer first-aid and supervised medical treatment within scope of practice as directed by the nurse
Assist the Registered Nurse with emergency response
Provide concierge standby services, including First Aid/AED
Perform clinic front-office and administrative work, including creating and formatting documents
Stock rooms and assist with room turnover and cleaning post-patient care
Assist with ordering and maintaining medical and office supplies, including supply levels and expiration dates
Assist with AED management, including maintenance checks and shipping
Assist with special requests from client EHS members
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent acceptable with at least 2 years of directly applicable experience
Knowledge and skills equivalent to those acquired through an accredited Medical Assistant education program, including basic knowledge of medical terminology and reporting, to perform office and clinical duties
Certification through an accredited Medical Assistant education program
Must be a Certified Medical Assistant
Certification or ability and willingness to become certified to perform supportive medical services, including administering medication, audiogram, spirometry, and applying and removing bandages
Must have current BLS certification
Must hold a valid driver's license
One to three years of experience in the healthcare field or a related area
Occupational health experience preferred
Certification in phlebotomy preferred
Willingness and ability to obtain HIPAA certification upon hire
