At Prisma Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will play a vital role in our team, providing critical care to those in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and transport patients to medical facilities, providing basic life support treatment as needed.
- Verify the operational readiness of vehicles and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient response to emergency situations.
- Respond promptly to calls received from the dispatch center, operating MCAS vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
- Prepare written documentation in a complete, timely, and accurate manner, maintaining professional certifications through in-service training programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of an approved EMT or EMT-Intermediate training program.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable five-year motor vehicle record, as well as certifications in SC Emergency Medical Technician (SCEMT), National Registry of Emergency Technicians (NREMT), and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
