As a Radiologist Assistant - Mammography Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive accurate diagnoses and effective treatments. Your expertise and dedication will make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic mammographic exams, verifying patient identity, and reviewing medical records for appropriateness of exams or procedures. You will also interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history, assess risk factors, and explain procedures, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions. Additionally, you will set up equipment, acquire images as per script, review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to radiologists. Other responsibilities may include recognizing and responding to medical emergencies, providing physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients, participating in process improvement activities, and providing imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees. A valid Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in Mammography (M) and completion of American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training are required.
