About the Job

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, working under physician oversight as required by state regulation and within the scope of practice defined by their specialty certification.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Obtain patient history, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and develop patient-centered plans of care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Manage health conditions through prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  • Provide counseling and education on preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and families.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (M.S.N.)
  • APN licensure in Illinois or Missouri
  • Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical Decision Making, Clinical Diagnostics, Disease Management, Epic EHR, Family Support, HIPAA Compliance, Interpersonal Communication, Patient Care, Patient Education, Patient Evaluations, Patient Management, Pharmacology, Preventive Care, Teamwork, Time Management

Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Washington University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including up to 22 days of vacation, competitive health insurance, and a defined contribution retirement plan.
