Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Concrete Operations Supervisor to join our team at Irving Materials. As a key member of our Ready Mix location, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise subordinate staff including drivers, plant operators, and yard attendants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Evaluate and mentor job performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Interview, hire, and train new employees, ensuring they meet the company's standards and expectations.
  • Address and resolve employee issues, handling disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
  • Responsible for the care, cleanliness, and condition of all on-site company assets, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Coordinate customer orders, scheduling, and dispatching, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality concrete products.
  • Record daily use and current inventories of materials, monitoring supplies and ordering as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Ensure proper batching and loading of ready mix concrete, meeting quality control standards.
  • Schedule and conduct monthly safety meetings, maintaining relevant reports and logs.
  • Demonstrate commitment to promoting a safe work environment, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be safety oriented and committed to promoting a safe work environment.
  • Basic computer skills using Google G Suite and MS Office, with ability to learn new software as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to lead, motivate, coach, and counsel employees.
  • Must be willing to reside within the area of responsibility.
  • Spanish speaking or bilingual a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary range $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. Estimated annual salary: $59,500.
