The Patient Care Specialist on our North 4 Medical Surgical Unit plays a critical role in providing compassionate and individualized care to patients. As a skilled Registered Nurse with a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, you'll have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each patient.

We offer a competitive salary for this role, estimated at $75,000 per year, based on industry standards and regional norms. This amount may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position working 28 hours per week, with a shift pattern that includes every other weekend.
  • You'll be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing personalized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Possess strong knowledge and skills necessary to assess health needs of patients and perform nursing care in a safe, caring manner.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of acute care nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) with active enrollment in a BSN program.
  • Epic experience, though not essential, would be advantageous in streamlining clinical workflows and enhancing patient care.
