The University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a skilled Mental Health Receptionist to join their CAPS team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and support.

About the Role

In this position, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience. Your primary responsibilities will include answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records. You will also utilize your exceptional communication skills to manage diverse client relationships and provide information in a confidential manner.

As a key member of the CAPS team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with professional staff to develop and implement psychoeducational materials and general correspondence. Additionally, you will assist with opening and closing the reception area each day, ensuring a smooth operation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with complex electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
