About the Role

As a Ground Combat Specialist with the U.S. Army, you'll be part of an elite team responsible for defending our country against ground-based threats. You'll be at the forefront of mobilizing troops, weaponry, and equipment to support missions and engage in reconnaissance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform as a member of a fire team during drills and combat operations.
  • Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and equipment to support mission objectives.
  • Participate in reconnaissance missions to gather critical information about enemy positions and movements.
  • Process prisoners of war and captured documents to ensure accurate intelligence gathering.
  • Operate, maintain, and store combat weapons, including rifles, machine guns, and antitank mines.
Requirements
  • You must be between 17–40 years old.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Undergo background and medical screening to ensure fitness for duty.
  • Pass the ASVAB examination to demonstrate your aptitude for this role.
Training and Development

You'll undergo comprehensive training, which includes 22 weeks of One Station Unit Training (OSUT). This will cover 10 weeks and 3 days of Basic Combat Training (BCT) and 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT).

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $ **60,000 - $80,000 per year**, depending on experience and qualifications. As a member of the U.S. Army, you'll also receive:
