Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at WPT Power Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing all inventory, supplies, and capital goods for the company, including negotiating prices, delivery, and credit terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently purchase inventory, supplies, and capital equipment for the company.
  • Receive and verify purchase requisitions for accuracy and authorization.
  • Source new vendors when necessary and prepare and issue purchase orders.
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on capabilities, performance, and quality assurance.
  • Maintain good working relationships with vendors and keep accurate vendor records.
  • Evaluate inventory reorder levels and quantity price breaks to determine the most economical purchasing of inventory and supplies.
  • Prepare monthly reports and review forecast of purchasing commitments.
  • Coordinate with Production Scheduler to ensure delivery of purchased items for uninterrupted manufacturing flow.
  • Actively participate in quality assurance processes and provide reports related to the department.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years' purchasing experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with common MRP software applications.
  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to complete repetitive hand movements and visual ability to complete office work at a computer.
