Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our float pool team at Maine Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and provide high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This position will be based on the IMC level of care unit, where you will have the opportunity to work with patients who require specialized care. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in critical care nursing
  • BLS certification
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Location and Schedule

This position is located at Maine Medical Center, which is situated in the heart of Portland, ME. The shift schedule will vary, but you can expect to work a combination of day and night shifts. We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate your needs.
