About the Role

This position involves working in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or clinic setting where you will provide direct patient care services. The role requires close supervision and is focused on assisting patients with various tasks related to their daily needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine inpatient and outpatient nursing duties that do not require a nursing license. This may include providing assistance with meals, personal hygiene and incontinent care. You will also be responsible for answering call lights, attending to patient comfort and safety by adjusting beds, lights, bed rails, pillows and bedside tables/equipment.

Additional responsibilities may include obtaining and setting up suction equipment, setting up oxygen, turning and positioning patients with assistance, assisting patients to and from wheelchairs and gurneys, and assisting patients with ambulation and crutch walking.

You will also take patients' vital signs, administer simple range of motion exercises, position and drape patients for examination or treatment, and transport patients to other areas of the hospital in a wheelchair or gurney.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:
  • Assists patients with meals, personal hygiene and incontinent care.
  • Answers call lights promptly, and attends to patient comfort and safety by adjusting beds, lights, bed rails, pillows, patients' clothing and bedside tables/equipment.
  • Obtains and sets up suction equipment; sets up oxygen; turns and positions patients with assistance; assists patients to and from wheelchairs and gurneys; and assists patients with ambulation and crutch walking.
  • Takes patients' vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure); administers simple range of motion exercises; positions and drapes patients for examination or treatment; transports patients to other areas of the hospital in wheelchair or gurneys.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $40,000-$50,000 per year, based on location and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
